In line with the Solid Waste Management Rules 2016 (Sections 1.9 and 1.11), which prohibit the dumping of wet waste in landfills, SwachhTadhoot Foundation promotes at-source composting to help Ulhasnagar’s communities and businesses stay compliant.
The foundation offers end-to-end composting support for both residential societies and commercial premises. This includes the setup of composting infrastructure such as pits and portable FRP (fibre-reinforced polymer) bins, supply of coco-peat and safety gear, and deployment of trained waste-pickers to oversee regular maintenance.
SwachhTadhoot also assists individuals in maintaining their existing composting systems, making them eligible for potential benefits such as property tax rebates (as applicable under local municipal provisions). The aim is to turn every household and community into an active contributor to a cleaner, greener Ulhasnagar.
